The primary aim is to assist the free movement of labour throughout Northern Ireland and the six border counties of the Republic of Ireland.
The EURES Cross-border Partnership’s objectives are:
To make things easier for those who wish to commute daily or weekly across the border in order to earn a living. The Partnership is attempting to overcome at least some of the obstacles that people face by providing information on how to access cross-border job opportunities. It disseminates information on Qualifications , Taxation, and Social Welfare conditions in pamphlets, on its Website and via a team of EURESadvisers.
To assist employers by providing them with access to a larger pool of labour i.e. jobseekers living on the other side of the border. It also offers advice to employers on a range of cross-border recruitment issues through seminars, publications and the team of EURESadvisers.
